Commercial Driveway, Sidewalk, or Curb & Gutter Permit
For the construction of a new driveway and/or sidewalk; or for removing and replacing an existing driveway, sidewalk, and/or curb & gutter.
The Inspection section is responsible for overseeing inspections in the City of Houston Right of Way, as well as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Construction General Permit TXR 150000 and the TCEQ Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) TXR 050000.
This includes enforcing permits for the construction of utilities within the City's Right of Way and ensuring the integrity of streets, sidewalks, driveways, and restoration in accordance with the Street Cut Ordinance. The Environmental section administers the TCEQ TXR 050000 and TXR 150000 permits.
Additionally, the Section provides support in inspecting Development Participation Contracts, utility projects inside the MUD Districts, and Joint Referral Committee Projects.
