The Office of the City Engineer’s Standards Review Committee is responsible for reviewing, revising, and updating design and construction standards for all Houston Public Works service lines. We invite the public to participate by submitting proposals, suggestions, comments, recommendations, and any supporting documents.
For the 2024-2025 Infrastructure Design Manual review cycle, the committee will focus on:
- Utility locations (Chapter 6)
- Street paving design requirements (Chapter 10)
- Street cut requirements (Chapter 12)
- Related technical specifications and standard details outlined in Chapters 6, 10, and 12 of the Infrastructure Design Manual
We encourage you to participate by submitting your proposals, suggestions, comments, recommendations, and supporting documents.
How to Participate:
- Go to Design and Construction Standards page and select “Standards Review Committee” from the sidebar to learn more about the process
- Submit your comments for proposed changes by filling the Request Form to Change Standards by October 31, 2024
