What You Need
- Provide a method of payment.
- Engineering Firm in good standing with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
- Plan sets must comply with the guidelines set by the City of Houston Infrastructure and Design Manual.
Apply Online
- Create an account for or log into iPermits Portal.
- Complete the "Office of the City Engineer Plan Review Application."
- Complete payment of plan review fee (credit card or e-check).
- Follow the invitation email to upload plans to ProjectDox and complete your task.
Conditions & Exceptions
The approved plans are only valid for one year.
Inspection
What You Need
- After issuing the approved permit, the customer is required to give a 48-hour notice to the inspector's group prior to starting any paving construction work.
- Note: The inspector's group contact information can be found on the cover of the approved plans.
- Additional permits will need to be pulled based on project scopes, such as mobility permits or street cut excavation permits.
