Ambulance Decal
Operating an ambulance in the City of Houston without a valid decal affixed to the ambulance by a health officer will result in enforcement action.
Our EMS Program focuses on:
- Inspecting to ensure the unit is in sanitary and in safe conditions
- Improving patient outcome in the City
- Ensuring ambulances have the essential equipment for safe transport
- Ensuring ambulance drivers are listed and permitted with the Health Department to drive.
Our permit allows private ambulances to transport patients for non-emergencies only. Emergencies are strictly for the Houston Fire Department.
