To define the minimum plan review requirements to obtain a building permit for the installation of a Modular or Prefabricated Building. Code requirements that apply to newly constructed buildings also apply to these prefabricated structures except state approved plans which are accepted without additional review.

By state law, sprinkler plans must be designed by a licensed sprinkler contractor. Typically, the sprinkler contractor is selected by the general contractor after the construction documents have been submitted for a permit or the building permit has been issued. As a result, sprinkler drawings are designed and submitted after the building plans are reviewed and construction has commenced.
