When the Residential Energy Code requires energy testing (air leakage and duct leakage tests), the results must be documented using this form. The testing must be done by an independent third party energy technician registered with the City of Houston. The results will need to be submitted to the Mechanical Inspector at the final inspection. If more than 3 systems are installed, please fill out an additional form.

The Energy Compliance Information Certificate sticker has been updated to conform to the newly adopted 2015 IECC. The sticker can be used to comply with Section 401.3 of the Houston Energy Code or, if preferred, a builder can use their own compliance sticker. After it is completed and printed, the certificate must be attached inside the electrical panel. This sticker can be printed on Avery® Labels 6876.
