Beginning September 3, 2024, Building Code Enforcement: Structural Inspections will begin Enforcing Moisture/Vapor Barrier Inspection.
The moisture/vapor barrier inspection is designed to verify that structures are adequately wrapped to prevent water infiltration. It is important to note that while this is being introduced as a separate inspection, the concept is not new. The Houston Permitting Center is bringing practices up to date with existing energy code standards.
