Office of the City Engineer Personnel Changes

Over the last few months, the Office of the City Engineer has been reorganizing to provide better service and accountability to its customers. We're excited to announce that Richard Smith will be taking on a new role as the OCE customer service liaison. We envision this position will be working with internal and external customers to provide a front-facing direct point of contact within OCE to work with their customers to route and answer questions for OCE. More details will be provided in our next newsletter.

Inspectors from the Construction Inspection team will now report to Lawrence Childress, who currently manages the TCEQ and Environmental inspectors within the Office of the City Engineer.

The Encroachment group, which handles private development encroachments, monitoring wells, pipeline permits, subdivision markers, bicycle racks, and security cameras placed within the City's right-of-way, will now report to Venkata Veturi, who oversees the Traffic group within the Office of the City Engineer.

Sharon Carr will still be handling oversized load permits and coordinating with the Construction Inspection and Traffic groups for approvals.
