Building Code Enforcement has issued two new codes words for the 2015 Houston Construction Code.
Code Word 2015-B01 provides guidance on building permits and applicable code of record. State law sets the applicable building code for a project at the time of platting. However, if it has been more than 5 years since the plat, then the applicable building code is set at the time of application for the building permit.
Code Word 2015-B02 provides guidance on single-family dwelling building permit fee configuration. Examples are provided on how to complete the two square footage fields in iPermits.
