Building Code Enforcement (BCE) group has issued Code Word 2021-A01, which became effective February 23, 2026, to guide the review and permitting of drone delivery sites and stations.
This includes:
- Landing and takeoff pads
- Related structures and equipment
- Utility/power connections needed to operate the site
Applicants proposing drone delivery facilities should reference this code word when preparing construction documents and submitting plans for review.
