The Houston Permitting Center has announced changes for its payment platform, Paymentus, that will take effect on October 1, 2024. These changes will ensure smoother transactions to improve our customer service.
Paymentus transactions made online through iPermits, or in-person, will be subject to a convenience fee. Here is the fee breakdown:

Credit card transactions will have a 2.3% card fee per transaction.

Electronic checks will incur a $0.50 fee per check.
The Houston Permitting Center is not currently accepting two American Express cards: American Blue Cash and American Blue. We will continue to accept all other American Express cards.
