Third-Party Energy Testing Technicians are required to register to operate within the City of Houston. Registered technicians have been trained and certified to perform leakage testing for residential energy efficiency as independent third-party agents.
Approved registered technicians will receive a license number.
All Third-Party Energy Testing Technicians must be independent contractors who are not affiliated with a builder or construction company.
To register as a Third-Party Energy Technician, please complete form CE-1216 Independent Third Party Energy Technician Registration.
All registrants must submit the completed CE-1216 Independent Third Party Energy Technician Registration via email to the Mechanical Inspections group at [email protected].
Third-Party Energy Testing Technicians must be registered with the City of Houston prior to performing their inspections.
