The Houston Permitting Center will soon be holding a pilot program for a limited number of City of Houston-registered solar panel contractors to use the new SolarAPP+ online iPermit process for simple solar panel installations without plan review submittal.
The SolarAPP+ program is intended for cookie-cutter type solar panel system installations on existing one- and two-family residential roof assemblies. It can be used for permitting these installations without having to submit for plan review. More details on SolarAPP+ and how to register for the pilot SolarAPP+ program will be announced soon.
