Effective immediately, the enforcement of article 210.8.F. of the national electrical code, with regard to G.F.C.I. on outdoor outlets, will no longer be a requirement. The new official date of adoption will be Jan. 1, 2023. This was approved by the State of Texas electrical safety and licensing advisory board on May 18, 2021.
