30-Day Notice: Legacy iPermits Retiring Effective September 9, 2024

The Houston Permitting Center is pleased to announce the transition to an updated iPermits Customer Portal, set to take place on September 9, 2024. This update brings significant improvements and new features designed to enhance user experience and streamline the permitting process for all residents, businesses, and contractors. We will retire access to the legacy iPermits Customer Portal on Sep. 9. Existing accounts, login processes, and user credentials will remain unchanged; no action is required from existing users, and ongoing permit applications will not be affected.

  • Note: If users have not changed their passwords in the last 270 days, the new iPermits Customer portal will prompt them to update their passwords. Passwords must be 8-12 characters long and include a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
