The Houston Permitting Center combines the majority of the City of Houston's permitting and licensing into one convenient location. Effective Sep. 15, 2022, all plans resubmitted to Building Code Enforcement must include a response letter uploaded to the Applicant Response folder.
Effective Tuesday, October 11, 2022, the Planning and Development Department will reduce their walk-in service on the 1st floor to Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 4 pm. Walk-in service is limited to general questions and assistance. Plans will not be reviewed. 
As a reminder, as of October 1, 2022, the City of Houston Infrastructure Design Manual now requires that all engineering drawing submitted to the Office of the City Engineer to be in color. Please refer to Chapter 3 of the design manual for color requirements. 
Our offices will be closed on Monday, September 5, 2022 in observance of Labor Day. We will resume normal business operations on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 8 am.
